To whom it may concern:
I am tired of listening to the news. You’re giving the public nothing but rhetoric and half of it, your listening public does not even understand. You also give the news at 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 of the same thing – the only difference is the person presenting it in a different way and tone. To get the facts that the public will understand is given only once – and that’s at 2:00 a.m. when 99% of your listeners are asleep. Give the people something that they can understand and put their arms around.
Let me give you an example: IRAQ –
1. How much are the tax payers paying for gas in IRAQ to Halliburton? ($2.00, $3.00, $4.00, $5.00, $6.00, $7.00, $8.00, $9.00, $10.00)
ANSWER: $8.00/gallon. Gasoline in Kuwait sells for about $.35/gallon.
What oil company is Halliburton getting their gas from? You should tell you listeners.
What happened to the $700 million that the two soldiers found in a boarded up house found in Baghdad? Last I heard the money was sitting at the airport being sent to the USA to check to see if it was counterfeit. Where did the money go?
- How can the administrations friend have a contract to provide 200 trucks to a point in Iraq ,and when they were delivered, half of them had to be towed in to the point of delivery? When the person was questioned about the trucks not running, it was stated that the contract did not say that the trucks had to be running, and he was paid about $40,000/truck.
- An administrations friend receive a contract to build an elevator in an office building in Iraq and was paid for the job, even though the elevator crashed on its first use killing 6 Iraqis.
- The US GAO stated that there were $8.8 billion unaccounted for in Iraq expenditures. Where is the money?
- Why do the tax payers pay $180,000/year with no taxes and health benefits to American civilian truck drivers when during previous wars, Army privates and PFC’s drove the same trucks for $700.00/month. ONLY IN AMERICA. “FOLLOW THE MONEY”
GASOLINE PRICES
- The price of oil goes up $.50/barrel on Monday which is the price of the oil that comes up from the ground on Tuesday. However, the price of gas in the US goes up $.05/gallon the very next day. What happens to all of the oil in the pipeline from the oil well to the filling station that the Monday increase did not affect?
- I understand that in the last 5 years, 8 refineries were closed, 4 producing gasoline and other 4 –by products. That’s how the oil companies can justify $3.00/gallon knowing demand will increase and they have decreased the supply. Our representatives in Washington D.C. and all others forget that their salaries are being paid by the taxpayers. The closures of these refineries have nothing to do with the Hurricane in New Orleans.
IMMIGRATION
- The solution to the illegal immigration is a simple one. It takes no new laws by congress. Just enforce the current ones. I do suggest that the penalty for hiring an illegal immigrate be raised to $1000/day per illegal. This includes any illegal on their premises. We will give each illegal employee $1000 from the funds collected from the employer and send the illegal's back to the border from which they crossed to build the wall.
- Prior to their being released, they will be given an ID card with picture, number and finger print and instructed that they have 90 days to either go home or to go to work on the wall. Understanding that being an illegal immigrant is a misdemeanor, but the forgery of social securities cards, driver’s license and other documents are felonies.
- 90 days will give the illegal's a choice to go home, work on the wall, or if caught after 90 days to be treated as a criminal.
This is just some thoughts as to how to handle the problems that our representatives can’t seem to face because they’re being bribed by corporate America. If I had my way, every incumbent would be voted out of office in the coming election regardless of party affiliation. You the media should inform the public of the truth and nothing but the truth and not the spin that the spin doctors are so good
